Coach Popp -- The Tutor

Coach Popp

Coach Popp teaches at Birney K-8 School in Southfield, Michigan.  He has been at Birney since 1992 and has been teaching for 28 years in all.  Coach Popp has been working with Al Fracassa educating QBs at his QB Camp since 1978.  He coached at Maple City Glen Lake, Brother Rice and Southfield Lathrup High Schools.  Coach Popp is currently the offensive coordianator at Brother Rice.   He played high school football at Franklin High School in Livonia, Michigan.  He was an All State Quarterback his senior year.  In the 1983 Michigan High All-Star game, Coach Popp started for the East Team.  He then attended Wayne State University where he was a three year starter.  He has worked with quarterbacks such as Alex Malzone, Cheyne Lacanaria, Shane Morris and many others

Coach Popp believes that the best way to evaluate a teacher is to observe the production of the pupils.

Frankie Popp

Frankie Popp graduated from the Univesity of Michigan.  He is currently the offensive coordinator for the Brother Rice JV team.  He has a wonderful way in which he works with people. 

Andrew Mobius

Andrew Mobius is studying pre-med at Michigan State University.  He is a tremendous coach who has worked one on one with many students.  He has a wonderful ability of transfering his knowledge to others.  He's a great teacher.

David Mobius

David Mobius is an unbelieveable coach.  He is a sophomore at Brother Rice.  He could absolutely call plays and coach the QBs and the team.  He is an excellent student as well.
